The US Department of Education released grant applications and criteria for its Investing in Innovation (i3) program this week. Local districts and nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for nearly $650m in competitive grants focused on scaling up, validating, and developing innovative programs. Applications are due in mid-May of this year, with funds to be awarded in September.
